Laibinis Project 5 Thumbs

The article I chose features Japanese Hair Show pictures from Splash International 2012.  Splash International is one of the biggest hair styling and hair coloring shows in all of Asia. The 2012 edition of the event was held in Tokyo in early March. Featuring stylists from both Japan and Korea.  Splash International 2012 offered an amazing array of colorful and creative hairstyles that must be seen to be believed.  For this project I want to use illustrator to create vector images of the models, emphasizing their elaborate hairstyles.  From looking at the photos, I think there is a wide variety of photoshop techniques I can use to make the the imagery visually stunning.  Some of the models are wearing glittery outfits, which I can create in photoshop.  For the photographs, I'm thinking of just using the background that the models are already in (runway, stage, lights, etc.)
