I changed my article to how birdwatchers have been able to predict events, much like augury that was practiced in ancient roman times, by watching how the behavior of birds changes in response to their conditions, for example climate change which causes birds to move farther north than in previous times.

The Article discusses the large migration of Native Americans from the reservations to metropolitan areas over the last few decades and whether the reservations play a part in the reason for this mass movement of people due to the almost double the national poverty rat among the native american poverty rate. Federal funding has not followed the Natives to metropolitan areas leading to severe poverty there as well with the rate being more or less the same as reservations. This movement has also led to native gangs springing up in cities and partnering or copying other longer established gangs leading to several high profile crackdowns by law enforcement.However many view the cities as a ray of hope with job training and high native american representation among city officials being a move forward. many view the cities as providing more opportunities than those found on a reservation. native American organizations are working towards moving their youth away from crime and poverty and towards high school diplomas and jobs within metropolitan areas. 

I plan to show the content of the article using a mixture of illustration and photos to create city scenes of native american presence and the move towards a better future. Silhouettes and simplified city skylines will be used as well as original photos taken by me and several photos taken from the internet.
I plan to shoot the city skyline for my original photography or for the ones that don't have a skyline the image of the hand or the duffel bag. I plan on these being black and white photos with color accents.

I have chosen to explore a day in the life of a photographer as it is something I have an understanding of and I feel that I can add new depth to the public perspective.While many know about the images produced by photographers many do not know the day to day life of a photographer. I plan to show this by juxtaposing both studio scenes of setting up a shot , or developing equipment, or even just reels of film to show the process at  while including the finished product , or image, as a background to the internal process. I will include quotes by famous photographers about the process. I would like to incorporate either negative holders, film, or polaroids as a framing mechanism. If I use film I will of course include images on the film. I plan to shoot all of the photos I will use and incorporate them into the piece. For this work I want to have the photographer be central to the instruments and final outcome of their work whether represented as an eye or a camera. I imagine the final project a s a series of parts each blending into one another with the camera or eye being the central focus of the finished work. I chose these two elements to represent the photographer because essentially the photographer is both a walking eye and a camera. The camera is modeled on the eye and a photographer tries to represent what they see each and every day with their work. So by simplifying the photographer down to their essential components I believe I will , as the project evolves, create a dynamic composition that fully realizes a day in the Life of a photographer.
