Laibinis Photoshop Tips and Tricks

I found a tutorial on how to make clouds from scratch using photoshop.  I thought it was a quick and nifty tutorial :D

Step 1: Create a new file, and fill the background with a gradient.  Use a different shade of blue for the foreground and background color.  Make sure the gradient is linear.

Step 2: Create a new layer, name it Clouds.  Hit D to make the colors black and white.  Go To Filter > Render > Clouds.  Set the Layer Blend mode to Screen.

Step 3: Add a Layer Mask.  Go to Filter > Render > Clouds.

Step 4: Click back on the Clouds layer.  Go to Image > Adjustments > Curves.  Adjust to desired outcome.

Step 5: Click on the Layer Mask.  Go to Image > Adjustments > Levels.  Adjust to desired outcome.

Step 6: If desired, add some blur.  With the Layer Mask still selected, go to Filter > Blur > Radial Blur.  Make sure under Blur Method Zoom is selected and under Quality Best is selected.

Step 7:  Lastly, add some sun!  Create a new layer and fill it with black.  Go to Filter > Render > Lens Flare.  Set brightness to desired outcome.  Place Lens Flare at top left of canvas.

And you're finished!  You now have realistic fluffy looking clouds!
