The fifth annual Basset Hound Waddle Fundraiser hosted by
the Guardian Angel Basset Rescue drew more than 500 owners and an estimated 700
basset hounds into the streets of Dwight, Illinois for a weekend of fun. On Friday, the chairman of Guardian Angel
Basset Rescue hosted a picnic at his home that included contests for longest
ears, lowest clearance, best howler, a costume contest, and the announcement
for the king and queen of the waddle. Sunday also featured a costume contest
and a blessing of the dogs along with vendors with basset-themed items for
sale.
My plan so far is to create a sea of basset hounds coming towards the viewer, along with perhaps some other generic dog-related stuff. For my own photo, I'll try to snap a picture of our two bassets on their leashes, or I can use a photo I already have.
