Waddill Project Four Thumbs

I plan on doing a day in the life of a railroad conductor.
For my original photo I plan to use various parts of the train and any machinery that goes along with it. Such as any part of the train, for instance the wheels, the various cars, steps to board, any machinery on it, etc. Also any signs associated with railroads such as railroad crossing signs. For my hand drawn illustrations, I plan to draw out anything you would find on a railroad conductor, focusing on the “old fashioned ones”. My illustrations will be something of that like a pocket watch, a conductor’s hat and possibly overalls or any uniform that they might wear.
For my composition, I’m tentatively am planning on having a train going diagonally across the page with railroad tracks somehow incorporated. Surrounding it I’ll have the railroad crossing signs, so it will seem as if you are approaching the railroad tracks. I’ll have the cross bars and the lights that flash. Also I am contemplating having the background being crossed by the railroad warning you see on the street as you approach the tracks. Overlaying all of the more mechanical items will be items associated with what the conductor would be carrying. I will have a pocket watch and possibly a whistle alongside the conductors hat. All of this will not be proportional to the signs as it will be the larger items in the design. Finally, I would like to add the illusion of smoke coming out of the smoke stack on the train engine.
