I have decided to illustrate the day in the life of
detective. I will be illustrating old school, classy detective instead of
modern detective. I love classy stuff so I was thinking of Jazz Pianist,
detective, and writer. Among these options, I chose to do detective because I
figured it would be a great subject to make it look interesting and mysterious.
The illustration will look dark, gloomy, and in order to make it look classy, I
will be putting old school objects like magnifying glass, smoke pipe, and
revolver. I plan to take original pictures of a street at the square or campus
at the night time or brick wall to use as a background and take a picture of
old news papers. I will hand draw the objects, revolver, and magnifying glass
and also the Silhouette of
detective with a pipe (Sherlock Holmes style), and make the silhouette as a
focal point. In that way, I think people will read the theme and mystery. Or I
could do the detailed illustration of the detective. I have thought of doing
the silhouette of whole body of detective, like he is investigating the street,
or focus on his face side way. (classic silhouette) In the opposite, I could
have the silhouette of the murderer in the center and have illustration of the
detective in the corner. Other images that I plan to use off from the internet
are pictures of murder scene. I plan to surround the detective with the objects
that he uses.
