I have chosen to do a day in the life of a make up artist. I personally love make-up and am always playing around with it, and probably spending too much money on it. My mom went to cosmetology school so thanks to her I’ve always been interested in hair and make up. I even considered becoming a make up artist myself at one point. I love the textures and colors and all of the possibilities and think I can make an aesthetically pleasing composition using these elements. My hand drawn element will be either eyes, a tube of mascara, or lips, just depending on which of my sketches I end up liking the most. I plan on taking an original picture of a lipstick wand or mascara tube, once again, depending on which of my sketches I end up using. There are also a few images that I’ve found online that I would really like to incorporate into my project. Specifically I have found a couple faces that really caught my attention and would work nicely with the vision I have in my head.
I really like the idea of a more abstract, I guess that’s the word I’m looking for, composition. The objects will be recognizable of course but I want to have fun with the design and placement of the objects. I definitely want to have some kind of pattern or flow to the overall composition, instead of having the objects just thrown in randomly, which I think could happen too quickly.
