I am doing in the life of a void. They are all around us. From hair line cracks and large expanses of open fields in the physical world to loss of family and loved ones in the metaphysical. They all deal with the devoid of perceivable existence. They can exist one moment and cease to exist once our existence fills the space; So, in essence, a void is the existence of nonexistence. I am choosing this because I am drawn to the manipulation of space and our perceptions of form and space. I find it important because our choice of spaces we occupy is equal important to our decision to avoid space. I plan on drawing an abstracted understanding of a void as our understanding of a void would be blank space of white paper. Photo references will be of empty abandoned buildings, cracks and potholes on roads, large vaulted ceiling spaces, junkyards, and parks/ grass fields.
