I chose Johnny Cash:
Johnny Cash was one of the most imposing and influential figures in post-World War II country music. He was a superstar by the 1960's, known for such songs as
Ring of Fire (1963) and
Understand Your Man (1964). In 2003, after years of fame and constant struggle with drug and alcohol abuse, Johnny died of complications from diabetes in Nashville, TN.
