Gruene is considered a historic town. It was established first by German farmers. It is named after the German Immigrant Ernst Gruene. Many of the building and stores have remained the same due to repairs and upkeep by the owners. It is recognized by the Texas travel industry and is a big attraction for visitors. There are many small “old town” stores people shop from and the famous riverside restaurant The Gristmill.

Wichita Falls is near the northeast corner of the panhandle of North Texas close to the boarder with Oklahoma. It is a family oriented city with a population of a little more than 100 thousand people. There are many cultural activities like rodeos. It is also a very nature, environmental friendly city with streams and trails. There are 39 parks within the city. The parks are where most families share time together on nature walks and picnics.

Rockport has a proud history. It’s located northeast of Corpus Christi. There are a variety of parks and natural life. One of the highest attractions to tourists is fishing. There are charter boats that can take you out bay fishing as well as other types too. Rockport is also a big place for seafood obviously because of location and how fresh it is. There are also many art exhibits through out the city too displaying local artists’ work.
