Donovan, Postcard Information

Mineral Wells- The Baker Hotel opened in 1029 to take advantage of the lure of mineral waters in Mineral Wells. It was one of the most glamourous resorts for 25 years. It closed in 1972 and there have been many stories of ghosts and hauntings since.

Farmersville - Farmersville in 1930s was known as the "Onion Capital of North Texas", annually shipping over 1,000 carloads of onions. Along with some small industry, cattle cotton, and maize crops remain important. Farmersville is also Audie Murphy's hometown.

Fort davis - Named after Jefferson Davis, The "best preserved fort in the west". 10 Miles of backcountry at the Davis Mountains State Park. Fort Davis also houses the McDonald Observatory of the University of Texas.
