Donovan, A day in the life of a hair dresser

"A day in the life of a hair stylist"
Being a hair dresser requires a lot of training. Hair is the fastest growing tissue in the body, second only to bone marrow. 35 meters of hair fibre is produced every day on the average adult scalp. In this project I plan to compose a collage of tools and processes involved in the routine of a professional hair dresser. My hand-drawn illustration will be a wig where tools like a blow dryer, a comb, scissors, etc will be intertwined in the locks of hair. My original photo will set the scene for the composition. It will be a picture of a single hairdressing chair with the window of the shop in the back, producing a silhouette effect. The wig may or may not resemble an octopus holding a bunch of styling tools.
