Waddill project 1 research

These pictograms were first used during the Tokyo Olympic Games in 1964. Tokyo was the first to create pictograms for both sports and services. The artist was Masaru Katzumie and graphic designer was Yoshiro Yamashita. These pictograms make it easy for the people of all the nations involved find their way around since pictograms are like a universal language. They frequently change from game to game, with the different art directors and graphic designers that are involved.
