I got this image from San Fransico Zoo Signage System (http://joanietsangdesign.com/project_html/San%20Francsico%20Zoo/SanFranciscoZoo.html). I thought that this was a good example of a pictogram. It shows different animals found at the zoo and the different places they are from.
